Oak Beams

Here at railwaysleeper.co.uk we have possibly the largest stock of structural green oak beams and air dried beams in the UK!

We always have thousands of both air dried and fresh sawn oak beams in stock in order to react to even the largest oak beam order.

In addition to our huge stocks we offer a Custom Milling Service, we can cut up to 9.5 metre Green Oak Beams straight from the tree on site in all dimensions!

We also mill Air Dried Oak Beams to customers own precise requirements from our stocks. It is important to remember when ordering custom milled air dried beams that they can come from much larger stock pieces and there will therefore inevitably be some moisture variation, also the side that has been milled will have the appearance of fresh wood and the other un-milled edges will be the darker air dried colour.

It is our stated aim to be able to fulfil any customer beam requirements in any dimension and with minimum fuss within 10 working days, normally sooner!

We operate 12 crane vehicles on a nationwide basis and are able to offer a second to none delivery service, no help with offloading is required!!

All our beams are milled according to European QP1 standards and we aim to buy only from FSC and PEFC sources.

Traditional green oak framing joints require oak dowel to fix them, we are also happy to supply them.
